Round 4 – Forming the Square
For a consistent look in multiple squares, consider using the same color (like white, cream, or black) for this round.
Attach your chosen yarn color to any chain-2 space with a slip stitch.
Chain 4 (counts as 1 treble crochet), work 2 more treble crochets in the same space.
Now build the sides and corners as follows:
In the next three chain-2 spaces:
3 double crochet
3 half double crochet
3 double crochet
In the next chain-2 space, create a corner:
3 treble crochet, chain 3, 3 treble crochet
Repeat the above side and corner pattern two more times.
Work the final side (as above), and for the last corner:
3 treble crochet in the same space as the beginning treble set, chain 3, and join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain-4.

Fasten off, weave in your ends, and admire your vibrant, textured square!
